COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN

  • We are limiting the number of staff and patients in the clinic at any given time. We are also implementing measures to ensure social distancing in common areas can be maintained (at 2m), by marking walking routes on the floors and waiting areas, verbally directing patients to rooms (instead of escorting them), and spreading out appointment bookings.
  • We will only be allowing two patients at a time to occupy the waiting area. If a patient arrives and there are already two patients in the waiting room, we will ask that patient to remain outside, or in their vehicle until we call them in.
  • We will only allow one person to check out at reception at a time and have installed plexiglass barriers at reception areas. There will be a marked area for the next patient to wait if necessary, or they will be asked to remain in their treatment room until it is safe to proceed to checkout.
  • We have posted a limit of two staff members at a time to occupy the break rooms.
  • We understand the limitations of masks and other PPE, and understand that PPE should only be used in combination with other control measures. Our staff will be wearing masks when appropriate.
  • All staff are required to enter and exit the clinics through the back entry doors.
  • We have handwashing stations that are visible and accessible for both staff and patients. We will request all patients entering the clinic to wash their hands upon arrival, following the traffic flow pattern marked on the floors.
  • We have set policies for all therapists to wash their hands between treatments. We have communicated good hygiene practices to workers and understand that frequent handwashing and good hygiene practices are essential to reduce the spread of the virus.
  • We will not be accepting cash payments at this time.
  • Staff are asked to not wear long / baggy sleeves or bracelets / watches.
  • We have removed any unnecessary items from treatment rooms, in order to simplify cleaning processes.
  • We have implemented cleaning protocols for all common areas and surfaces, including the frequency and timing of cleaning.
  • We are not allowing any staff member or patient to attend the clinic if showing symptoms of COVID-19 : Anyone who has had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 10 days. Symptoms include fever, chills, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, and new muscles aches or headache. Anyone who has arrived from outside Canada OR who has had contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case must self isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms.
  • We will be pre-screening all patients to ensure they will be permitted in the clinic.
  • Sick workers must report to management, even if symptoms are mild.
  • We are regularly monitoring new areas of concern and will take steps to update our policies and procedures as needed.
